I have a xanga!  How 'bout that.

Hello.  Let's see, updates on my life . . .

- I've been crazy busy, but since when is that new? 

- Actually, that's a lie.  I'm not as busy as I was last spring, which means I can actually breathe, eat meals without having to multitask, have my quiet times with God, and even sleep sometimes!

- I'm applying for music therapy internships, which is nervewracking.  So is interviewing for them.

- I just had an awesome Labor Day weekend.  I hung out with Diana at the apartment she shares with the big bully who stole her from me (aka her husband Luke, whom I only call a bully because he is at least a foot taller than me and likes to pat me on the head - grrrrrr).  We cooked and watched/listened to some of the rock opera stuff from last spring.  Awesome times, man.  I also went on a ramble around Blormal with Brian, and went to his brother Greg's for a cookout on Monday.  It was a blast!

- I just got a new roommate.  I was supposed to room with a friend, but she changed her plans at the last minute.  I was left to myself for about two weeks, then the university put someone from supplemental housing in this shoebox with me.  Lol.  Her name is Kayla, she's a super senior like me, and she's pretty cool.  Come by and meet her sometime.

- Navigators is underway for the school year!  Tonight was the first Navs meeting.  We hung out at Shayna's house for s'mores, ice cream, and watermelon.  I feel a little disconnected, as many of the people I knew in Navs are gone now, thanks to student teaching or graduation or the like.  I also wasn't very involved last spring, thanks to my hellish schedule.  But, I'm looking forward to jumping in again. 

- Oh, and did I mention that all of south campus is under a boil order right now?  It's rather crazy.  At least we can still shower and do laundry and use the toilets.  We just can't ingest any of the water . . . which means we have to use bottled water for brushing our teeth, drinking, and eating . . . which means they shut down the dining center.  There are few more around campus, but rather a far walk.  So inconvenient!  My roommate and I are choosing to see the fun in it, and we're able to laugh it off.  It's not the end of the world, like some people are making it out to be.  Of course, if we couldn't take showers, then it WOULD, in fact, mean that the apocalypse was upon us.  Too scary to comprehend.
